~A step back in time~
Victorians
For just one day Year 3 changed their names for Victorian ones and stepped back to see what it was like to be a child in Victorian Britain.
Thank you to the parents and staff who dressed up too!
First the 3 Rs.
It's not easy to write with these ink pens.
The girls had to learn how to be good servants.
Can you recognise the items they are cleaning?
Then they made lavender bags.
The boys made bees wax candles
We also had the chance to spend our ‘old pennies’ in the shop...
..and we all looked around the kitchen and the garden.
The kitchen looks just like my Grandmother’s!
Does it bring back memories for anyone else?
We then ate a typical Victorian packed lunch – no plastic bags or crisps. They were very green and healthy.
Finally we played Victorian games before heading back to 2008!
